El álbum se compone de canciones extraidas de “If You Listen” de 1971, “This Is Françoise Hardy” de 1966, “Alone” de 1970, “En Resume” de 2000 y la última pista es “To the End” (La Comedie), un dueto con Bur.
“Alone” fue editado originariamente en South Africa, por World Record (ORR 6057), en 1969, con el título de “Francois Hardy”. posteriormente, en 1970, el mismo álbum apareció en Inglaterra, Australia y Nueva Zelandia con otra tapa y con diferente título: “One-Nine-Seven-Zero”; y finalmente como “Alone”, en Canada y en Estados Unidos.

sorry francoise, i only listened to the first of these two aquis, but these tracks don’t really cut the mustard. it sounds like stuff some producer put on you, so you sound like you’re on auto-pilot, singing words that never passed through your own conscious mind. just industry product, foreign-directed. also you sound like a VERY pre-feminist dumb cluck chickie, and that’s an image that just doesn’t gel anymore — nor, i imagine, did it do so when you recorded these tracks, back when. but the french accent is nice. however, i get that, with a more satisfying frisson, from your 60s originals, en francais.
