Perry Como fue anfitri\u00f3n de un programa de una hora en la cadena NBC de televisi\u00f3n hasta 1963, a\u00f1o en que fue puesto en libertad \u00abThe Songs I Love\u00bb. Una caracter\u00edstica constante de la serie fue que Como interpretaba su canci\u00f3n favorita mientras est\u00e1ba sentado en un inconfundible set que formaba las letras \u00abMr. C\u00bb. Una foto del conjunto adorna la portada de \u00abThe Songs I Love\u00bb, y el \u00e1lbum tiene como objetivo reproducir los efectos de ese segmento (que los productores Hugo & Luigi describen como \u00abuno de las pocas grandes tradiciones en la televisi\u00f3n\u00bb), una docena de baladas suaves como \u00abFly Me to the Moon (In Other Words)\u00bb y \u00abThis Is All I Ask\u00bb. El tema abridor, \u00abThe Songs I Love\u00bb, establece el tono para todo lo que sigue, y, no sorprendentemente, resulta que estos pop standard son las canciones de Como ama. \u00abThe Songs I Love\u00bb fue un \u00e1lbum de \u00e9xito comercial dirigido a los fans de El Show de Perry Como.<\/p>\n

Es, por supuesto, el utilizado por Perry Como para ese momento muy especial en su programa cuando el payaso y el bailarin paran y el Mr. C. se instala de nuevo en su silla y canta \u00abThe Songs I Love\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n

Este es el momento en que se ha establecido una de las pocas grandes tradiciones en la televisi\u00f3n.<\/em><\/p>\n
